Article about Entertaiment
Entertainment is a form of personal or collective activity that involves an audience. Its purpose is to create a sense of enjoyment, amusement, or relaxation. The word derives from the Latin inter tenere, with the prefix inter meaning “inside,” and the suffix tenere referring to holding or stretching something (from the Indo-European root ten, also meaning stretch). Entertainment can be at any scale, from the individual who chooses a private entertainment from the now vast array of pre-recorded products; to a banquet adapted for two people; to performances designed for thousands or even global audiences. The experience of being entertained has become strongly associated with amusement, so that one not unusual understanding of the idea is to think of fun and laughter, although many entertainments have a serious purposeāas in various styles of ceremony, party, non secular festival, or satire.
