What is Entertaiment?

Entertaiment is a large field of human activity and entertainment consists of many forms such as film, television, books, music, dance, theatre and other art forms. It is often defined by its capacity to cross over media and its seemingly endless potential for creative remix. Many familiar forms of entertainment also have a longevity that is rare for other industries. The word Entertainment” has roots in medieval Latin, from the prefix inter meaning “inside” and the suffix ten, which is derived from the Indo-European root ten, which means to stretch, or hold out. This is a reference to the way that the brain was evolved to understand the world around it.
